  12.         You can use this as a stand-alone Workbench or as a Disk drawer on
  13.         your favourite Workbench.  You may find that one or two of these
  14.         programs require that ARP.library is in your L: directory.
  15.  
  16.         This collection is aimed at someone who has been caught by a Virus
  17.         (shame on you).  First you want to recover the disk that has been
  18.         gunged by this repulsive thing - that's what DiskSalv is for.
  19.  
  20.         DiskSalv will recover as much as is possible from a disk
  21.         and write it out to another disk.  Now you have DiskSalv you can
  22.         forget DiskDoctor.  DiskDoctor just removes everything that is not
  23.         100% ok - quite destructive really, if a directory block gets
  24.         clobbered you lose all the files!  Run DiskSalv with a disk from a
  25.         PD library, you may find extra interesting files being recovered.

  27.         I've implemented DiskSalv with a script designed for two-drive
  28.         users.  After a while you'll be requsted to put the duff disk in
  29.         DF0: and an empty disk, which will be formatted, in DF1:  Click
  30.         READY and watch the magic, when it's done follow all requesters.

  32.         If you want it some other way, feel free to change it.

  34.         Then, having realised that the virus menace is for real, you need
  35.         the other programs on this disk.  There are hundreds of virus
  36.         utilities available, these are my selection of the best to save you
  37.         the trouble of trying all of the others.

  39.         VirusX is the best virus defence available.
  40.         Virus Expert is a very good virus "expert system".
  41.         BootSaver saves and writes bootblocks. There's a selection
  42.         of good guys in :BB/  and some bad guys in :BBVIRUS/.  Please don't
  43.         use these maliciously, they're here if you really want to see what
  44.         they do!!!
  45.  
  46.         VirusKiller detects viruses and heals bootblocks in its own
  47.         unique way.  VirusHunter is the detection part only, and is
  48.         intended for use in your startup-sequence.

  50.         Virus Protector patches a utility program that replaces the
  51.         "insert Disk" screen.  Sometimes works, sometimes encourages a
  52.         visit from the guru!

  54.         TrackSalve has been included as it would appear to assist
  55.         DiskSalv in recovering bad tracks; see the docs and experiment.

  57.         Look in the SYSTEM drawer for an interesting way to set
  58.         preferences, based on SetAmiga.  I've also include some
  59.         printer drivers in Devs/Printers that some of you will find use
  60.         for.
